Kara Parker is a Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner. After receiving a bachelor’s degree in chemistry at the University of Virginia, Mrs. Parker pursued a master’s degree in nursing at Virginia Commonwealth University specializing in Women’s Health Care. Mrs. Parker began her career as a nurse practitioner with an obstetrics and gynecology practice in Alexandria, Virginia. She subsequently practiced at George Washington University in Washington, D.C., focusing on diagnostic testing for pelvic floor disorders, and also seeing patients in the obstetrics and gynecology clinic.
Mrs. Parker has enjoyed returning to Richmond with her husband and three sons. She is excited to continue to focus her practice on urogynecology. Her many clinical interests include overactive bladder, recurrent urinary tract infections, pelvic pain, pelvic organ prolapse, and incontinence.
