Dr. Barnes grew up in Virginia where he later attended the Medical College of Virginia to receive his medical degree in 1998. He finished both his general surgery internship and urology residency at the Medical College of Virginia in Richmond, Virginia.
Dr. Barnes is board certified in urology by the American Board of Urology. He is an active member with the American Urological Association and the American Association of Clinical Urologists. In addition, he is an active member of the Richmond Academy of Medicine.
