Stony Point Office
Account Representative – ASC Billing

The Patient Accounting department is seeking an Account Representative to handle billings for Virginia Urology’s three ambulatory surgery centers. Primary responsibilities include account follow-up, posting payments, making contractual adjustments, handling refunds, and answering patient inquiries. Experience working in medical billing, particularly in a surgery center environment, or equivalent formal education in medical billing, and computer proficiency are required. CPT/ICD-9 procedure coding knowledge and familiarity with Virginia Urology’s medical billing system will be helpful. The successful candidate will possess the ability to accurately perform detailed work, multi-task, and communicate professionally and effectively with patients and insurers. This is a full-time, 40 hour per week position that is eligible for benefits. Compressed work schedule is available.

Stony Point Ambulatory Surgery Center
Coordinator – Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU)

We are seeking an experienced RN to fill the PACU Coordinator position at our Stony Point ambulatory surgery center. The PACU Coordinator is responsible for managing the delivery of pre-operative testing services and post-operative care by nurses and other medical staff, ensuring delivery of optimal care in conjunction with the OR coordinator, physicians, and ancillary departments. Plans, implements and evaluates post-operative care to achieve positive patient outcomes. Schedules staff for efficient patient flow and facilitates the daily surgery schedule with interaction between the OR and Holding area. Develops and mentors staff, including conducting annual evaluations. The coordinator provides direct patient care as needed. This position requires graduation from an accredited School of Nursing, current licensure by the Virginia State Board, knowledge of the operation of PACU suites, current nursing processes and skills, at least one year of experience supervising a PACU, and current CPR, ACLS and PALS certifications. The PACU Coordinator works Monday through Friday with no on-call, night, weekend, or holiday work. This position is eligible for full-time benefits.

Stony Point and St. Francis Offices
Office Nurse

We are seeking an RN or LPN to work at our Stony Point and St. Francis clinic offices. The office nurse will work closely with an assigned physician to provide professional patient care. This position requires at least two years of med/surg nursing experience in a hospital setting, current licensure by the Virginia State Board of Nursing, and current CPR certification. The office nurse also must be very organized and detail- oriented to appropriately prioritize tasks and deliver quality patient care in a fast-paced environment. Compensation will be provided for required travel between offices. This is a full-time, 40 hour per week position that is eligible for benefits. Typical work schedule is Monday through Thursday, 9 hours per day, and four hours on Friday morning. Occasional Friday afternoon work is required.

Radiologic Technologist (PRN)

We are seeking a PRN Radiologic Technologist to provide direct patient care at our Richmond area offices. This position will work as needed at our Stony Point, West Broad, Hanover and Monument offices. The qualified candidate will have at least one year of experience and will be flexible, detail-oriented, and able to work effectively with minimal supervision. Duties include preparing, operating and maintaining radiographic equipment, and assisting other members of the clinical staff as needed. Requires ARRT with a current license and CPR certification. Does not require evening, weekend, holiday or on-call work. Compensation provided for travel between offices during the business day. This position is not eligible for benefits.

Surgery Scheduler - Float

We are seeking a Surgery Scheduler to work as assigned to provide coverage during periods of vacation and other staff absences. The scheduler works closely with patients, physicians, medical facilities and other Virginia Urology staff to schedule surgical procedures and diagnostic tests, and to coordinate pre-operative clearances. This individual also ensures that pre-op and post-op appointments are scheduled, preps physician charges, submits surgical and consult charges, and performs related administrative duties. Travel to different clinic offices is required. Compensation is provided for travel between offices during the work day. This position requires a working knowledge of Virginia Urology’s EMR and practice management systems; knowledge of insurance company requirements and the correct application of CPT and ICD-9 codes; the ability to work independently with extreme accuracy and attention to detail; strong communication and customer service skills; and computer proficiency. The ideal candidate will have at least one year of experience as a physician’s secretary scheduling surgical procedures/tests or working in patient registration. This is a full-time, 40 hour per week position that is eligible for benefits. Compressed work schedule is available.

Stony Point Office
RN or LPN - Treatment Nurse

We are seeking an RN or LPN to provide nursing care to patients at our Stony Point clinic office. This position requires at least two years of med/surg nursing experience in a hospital setting, current licensure by the Virginia State Board of Nursing, and current CPR certification. Physician office and urology experience is a plus. The treatment nurse must be very organized and detail-oriented to appropriately prioritize tasks and work independently to efficiently deliver quality patient care. This is a full-time, 40 hour per week position that is eligible for benefits. Typical work schedule is Monday through Thursday, 9 hours per day, and four hours on Friday morning. Occasional Friday afternoon work is required.
